Another one of my favorite therapeutic techniques is hypnosis. Most people have heard of it, but are not sure exactly what it is or how it works. Remember the scene from the movie "Office Space" where the main character is hypnotized, then completely ignores his responsibilities, his job, etc., and hilarity ensues? While this was a very funny movie, the depiction of hypnosis was not quite accurate. Hypnosis is really just a deep state of relaxation, in which one can get in touch with the subconscious mind and be able to utilize it for great change in their lives.
